GET THE MECH AND MAGIC

I have a little gift for you to celebrate. More about that below. First, I’d like to share a couple of early reviews.

“What a phenomenal read!! The second installment of this series absolutely crushed all my expectations.” 5 Stars, wanderingsoulak The StoryGraph

You have no idea how satisfying it is for me to see my work well received. A Knack for Metal and Bone was released one year ago today. I’ve been working on Mech and Magic ever since. A year of work. Ooof. I feel like I hold my breath for weeks, from when I upload the final manuscript to Amazon until the first readers react to it. I never know how it will go. So thank you to those who took a moment to review it. Your enthusiasm for Rowan and Conall’s story keeps this author’s heart beating.

A GIFT FOR YOU

So, I did a thing. I created a steampunk card game, and now I’m giving it away!

Imagine you’re hiding from the midnight sun in a dimly lit tavern in New Torwood City. A mech server drops a pitcher of ale on your table—shared with two dockhands from Squall’s End and a reaper fresh off the boat from Oxeye thera mine. You’re near the end of a tense game of Cogs & Crowns. The pot of thera chips is big enough to pay your rent for a month. You’ve got only two cards left: the 2 of Crowns and the Mech Mage. Victory is so close… until the reaper slaps down the Saboteur.

This is exactly the kind of trouble you’ll find in Mech and Magic. Cogs & Crowns is a card game played in taverns, tea rooms, and high salons across New Torwood City, so I thought… why not make a real version? And I did! (Possibly I have too much time on my hands)

After much tinkering, trial, and just a few explosions, I present: Cogs & Crowns—a fast, fun game that mixes the best of classic card play with just a hint of role-playing chaos.

And to celebrate the launch of Mech and Magic, I’m giving all my newsletter subscribers a free digital download of the game. You will need to print it out (I suggest card stock) and cut the cards. The download comes with all the card faces and rules you need for an evening of steampunk fun. If you are a subscriber, check your email (including spam folder) for your download code and password. If you're not a subscriber, it's not too late to get your game. Join the Reader Group HERE to get it along with 2 free eBooks.

GIVE-AWAY!

And there’s more!

I custom printed 2 sets of Cogs & Crowns Cards. To celebrate the release of Mech and Magic, I’ll be giving these away, along with a signed paperback. Follow the button below to enter.
