As I mentioned, this is all just in good fun. We'll even have a battle to determine the cutest critter in the Valkyrie Bestiary world. So be sure to join the FB discussion group to see all the match-ups. We're a pretty laid back group anyway. You get to chat with other VB readers and post your favorite critters from real life and mythology.

Rosie O’Grady’s Paranormal Bar and Grill, Book 1

I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while and when I saw that the audiobook is part of Kobo Plus, I snapped it up. It did not disappoint. The MC has a fascinating back story that she’s running from. It’s the reason for her kick-a$$ abilities but it also influences the way she thinks and views the world. I particularly found that part very well written and thoughtful.
Add to that some great action, a found family and a bar that caters to the paranormal and this series is quickly becoming a favorite. I just wish for once, I could walk through a ward and find a bar like Rosie O’Grady’s!
I listened to this on Kobo Plus. The narrator was excellent and was able to create unique voices for each character that added to enjoyment of the story.

You'll notice that I listened to BR Kingsolver's book on Kobo Plus, and one of the book fairs below is devoted to Kobo Plus too. If you're not familiar with it, this is a subscription service, sort of like Amazon's Kindle Unlimited and Audible combined. One reasonable monthly fee lets you choose from a huge selection of ebooks and audiobooks. Authors like it because Kobo doesn't demand exclusivity, so it's a win-win for all.
